Do I need my own Stripe account?

  • You’ll need access to the email you use for Stripe setup

  • If you’re part of a business or team, check who will be responsible for financial setup


4. Do I need my own Stripe account?

Yes - if you are a coach and plan to receive payments directly from clients, you will need your own Stripe account.

Stripe is the payment processor that enables FITR to securely handle payments and payouts. Without your own Stripe account, FITR cannot send payouts for your program sales.

Here’s how it works:

  • Coaches

    • You must connect a Stripe account to receive payouts.

    • Stripe handles tax calculation (where required), currency conversion, and secure payout transfers.

    • If you don’t connect Stripe, you will not receive coach payouts from FITR.

  • Clients

    • You do not need a Stripe account to join FITR programs.

    • Clients pay via Stripe during checkout, but a personal Stripe account is not required.


5. How to set up your Stripe account (Coach)

  1. Log in to FITR and go to Settings > Stripe.

  2. Click Connect Stripe account.

  3. Follow the verification steps. Stripe will ask for your business and payout details.

  4. Once complete, Stripe will be linked and ready to receive payments.

Note: Coaches with accounts created on or after 1 February 2022 will manage payouts directly through Stripe; FITR cannot update bank or tax details for these accounts.
