You create and manage Habits directly from a program's schedule, the same place you build training.
⚠️ Before you start
Habits are available on Trial and PRO plans only
You can assign a Habit to any program type
🖥 How to create a Habit - Desktop
Go to your program's schedule
Select the day you want to add the Habit to
Choose Add Habit
Select one of FITR's pre-built habits, such as hydration, sleep, steps, mobility, mindfulness, or medication adherence, or create a custom habit and name it yourself
Set the metric type and an optional target value, for example 8 glasses of water or 10,000 steps
Turn on a push notification reminder if you want one. This is off by default
Choose a repeat pattern: daily, weekly, monthly, or custom days, for example Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Set a date range, up to a maximum of one year
Confirm to create the habit
The habit automatically populates across the schedule based on the repeat pattern you selected, so you don't need to add it day by day.
⚙️ Managing your Habits
Duplicate, copy, or move habits within the schedule
Edit the target value or reminder notification on an existing habit at any time
Review completed versus missed counts and logged values for each client using Review Mode
See historical habit data across the full date range you set
When editing a habit that was added across a date range, you can only change the target value and notification time. You cannot change the repeat pattern or date range on an existing habit. Editing a single occurrence detaches it from the series, so the change only applies to that day and won't affect other days using the same habit name.
🔧 Troubleshooting
I want to change or remove a habit across several days at once
This isn't currently supported. Each day is created as a separate occurrence, so you'll need to edit or delete each day individually. A bulk edit and delete option is being scoped for a future release.
I inserted a template and it already has a habit on that day
A habit can only be assigned to a given day once. You'll see a prompt asking whether to keep the existing target values or replace them with the new ones.
I need a habit to run for longer than a year
One year is the maximum date range for a single habit. Set up a new habit once the current range ends.
