Habits for Coaches

Habit tracking helps you support clients beyond workouts by building consistency in the daily behaviours that drive real results. You can assign habits, track completion, and follow up with clients to keep them accountable and engaged.

Why Use Habit Tracking?

Habit tracking allows you to:

  • Encourage consistency outside of training sessions

  • Monitor client adherence to key behaviours

  • Provide more personalised coaching and feedback

  • Stay connected with clients through daily progress

This is especially powerful for habits like sleep, hydration, steps, recovery, and mindset work.


How to Add a Habit to a Client

You can add habits directly from a client’s schedule.

Create or Select a Habit

When adding a habit, you can either:

Choose a pre-built habit
OR

Create a custom habit where you can:

  • Name the habit

  • Choose how it’s measured (metric)

  • Set how often it should be completed

Set Habit Details

For each habit, you can configure:

Frequency

  • Daily

  • Weekly

Metric (How it’s tracked)
You can choose from:

  • Cups

  • Distance (km / miles)

  • Grams

  • Litres

  • mg

  • ml

  • Percentage (%)

  • Rating (1–10)

  • Rating (1–5)

  • Steps

  • Time

  • Unit

  • Weight (kg / lbs)

  • Yes / No

Notifications (Optional)

  • Enable a push notification reminder

  • Set the time clients should be reminded


How Clients Track Habits

Once assigned, habits appear:

  • On the client’s homepage, below their program

  • Inside their Habits tab in their profile

Clients can:

  • Log progress toward a habit

  • See visual progress in a graph

  • View past habits from the last 7, 14, and 30+ days

  • Edit or clear entries


Viewing Client Habit Progress

You can see exactly how your clients are doing with their habits.

For each habit, you can view:

  • Which clients completed the habit

  • Which clients missed it

  • The values they logged and when

This gives you quick insight into consistency and areas where support is needed.


Messaging Clients About Habits

You can send bulk messages based on habit performance:

  • Message all clients who completed the habit

  • Message all clients who missed the habit

This is great for:

  • Celebrating wins

  • Checking in on struggling clients

  • Reinforcing accountability

You can also leave comments on habit results, just like other client feedback.


How Habits Work with Program Tracks

If a client is enrolled in a program with habits:

  • They must select which program track they want to follow for habits

  • They can change their selected track anytime from their profile


Notifications for Clients

If you enabled reminders, clients will receive push notifications at the time you set, helping them stay consistent and build routine.
