Cancel a Program During a Free Trial (Client)

How to cancel a FITR program during a free trial to avoid being charged — on desktop and mobile — plus what happens to your access after cancelling and what to do if you were charged unexpectedly.

Updated today

If you are in a free trial and decide it is not for you, you can cancel at any point before the trial ends. This article walks you through how to do that on desktop and mobile.

📋 When to use this

  • You are in a free trial and have decided not to continue

  • You want to cancel before your trial period ends

  • You want to understand what happens to your access after cancelling

⚠️ A few things to know first

  • Trials need to be cancelled manually - cancellation is available any time before the trial ends

  • Cancelling during the trial means no payment is taken

  • After cancelling, you keep access to the program until the trial period ends — you are not cut off immediately

  • You can check how many trial days you have remaining in your Billing section

🖥 How to cancel on desktop

  1. Go to your profile and select Billing

  2. Find the program subscription showing the active trial

  3. Click More (the three-dot menu) next to that subscription

  4. Select Cancel Subscription

  5. Confirm the cancellation when prompted

📱 How to cancel on mobile

  1. Open the FITR app and tap your profile icon in the top right corner

  2. Select My Programs

  3. Find the program with the active trial and tap Manage Subscription at the bottom of the screen

  4. You will be taken to My Purchases — tap More next to the program

  5. Select Cancel Subscription and confirm

🔧 Troubleshooting and FAQs

I cannot see the Cancel Subscription option

  • Try cancelling through a desktop browser at app.fitr.training — this works even if the option is not visible in the mobile app. If it still does not appear, the subscription may be managed by your coach. Contact them directly and ask them to cancel on your behalf.

I cancelled but I can still access the program — is that right?

  • Yes, that is correct. Cancelling stops any future payment but does not remove your access straight away. You keep access until the trial period naturally ends. Think of it as confirming you will not be continuing — access carries on until the trial clock runs out.

I was charged unexpectedly

  • Contact FITR Support with your account email, the program name, and the date of the charge. We will look into it and get it resolved.

I cancelled by mistake and want to continue the trial

  • Contact FITR Support as soon as possible. Depending on timing, we may be able to reinstate the trial.
