Macros for Clients: Tracking and Viewing Your Progress

How to connect your nutrition app to FITR, set macro targets, and view your daily and weekly progress against your coach's goals.

If your coach has assigned macro targets to your program, you can track your daily nutrition intake in FITR by connecting your preferred nutrition tracking app through your device's health platform.

πŸ“‹ When to use this

  • Your coach has set macro targets in your program and you want to start tracking

  • You want to connect MyFitnessPal or another nutrition app to FITR

  • You want to understand how to view your macro progress and targets

πŸ“± How to connect your nutrition app

  1. Open the FITR app and tap the Heart icon in the footer menu

  2. Select the prompt to Record macros with - choose Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android)

  3. Tap Allow to grant FITR access to your device health data

  4. Select the macro targets you want to track - you will see all programs and tracks that your coach has assigned targets to

Make sure your chosen nutrition app (such as MyFitnessPal or Cronometer) is already connected to Apple Health or Google Health Connect. FITR pulls data from your device's health platform, so any app that syncs with it will work.

πŸ“Š Viewing your macro progress

  • Daily and weekly charts - see your intake in grams or percentages

  • Weekly circular charts - the outer ring shows consumed, the inner ring shows your target

  • You can track Protein, Carbs, Fat, Calories, Iron, Potassium, and Fibre

πŸ”§ Troubleshooting and FAQs

My macro targets are not showing

  • Cause: Your coach may have set weight-based targets and you have not added your body weight yet.

  • Fix: Go to Profile Settings > Bodymetrics and enter your weight. Targets will calculate automatically.

I want to change which program's targets I am tracking
