Getting Started With FITR — What to Expect on Your Trial (Coach)

A practical guide to making the most of your FITR 14-day free trial — how to explore the platform, test your setup as a client, and decide if FITR is right for you.

Updated today

FITR gives new coaches a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. This article walks you through the best way to explore the platform, test your setup, and get a clear picture of how everything works before committing.

📋 When to use this

  • You have just signed up to FITR and want to know where to start

  • You want to test how your program looks and feels from a client's perspective

  • You want to understand pricing and what happens when the trial ends

🚀 Where to start

The fastest way to get a feel for FITR is to do three things in your first session:

  1. Create a program — go to Programs and create your first program. Pick a type, add some sessions, and publish it. Even a rough version is enough to test with.

  2. Set up Stripe — go to Settings > Payouts and connect Stripe so you can receive payments. This takes around 5 minutes and only needs to be done once.

  3. Test it as a client — create a client account using an email alias (see below) and subscribe to your own program. This is the single most useful thing you can do during a trial.

You can also book a live Q&A call with the FITR team: Book a call. Or explore the demo videos at your own pace.

👤 How to test as a client (using an email alias)

Coach and client accounts are completely separate on FITR. To see your program through a client's eyes, create a client account using a + alias of your existing email - no second email address needed.

  1. Log out of your coach account

  2. Go to app.fitr.training/onboarding/role and select Client

  3. Sign up with a + alias — e.g. if your email is [email protected], use [email protected]

  4. All emails sent to the alias arrive in your normal inbox

  5. Use this account to subscribe to your program and see exactly what your clients will see

💰 Pricing overview

  • FITR charges a 5% transaction fee on client payments to coaches

  • There is no penalty for offering free programs or having unlimited clients

  • Coaching plan pricing is on the FITR pricing page

  • After the 14-day trial, you can continue on a paid plan or your account will downgrade to the free tier

🔧 Troubleshooting and FAQs

My + alias is not being accepted

  • Make sure the + is before the @ symbol - the correct format is [email protected]. If your provider does not support aliases, use a separate email address instead.
