Getting Started With FITR (Coach)

Everything you need to know to hit the ground running on FITR - your first three moves, how to test your setup as a client, and what to expect when your trial ends.

You have 14 days of full platform access, no credit card required, and no limits. This is your time to build something, test it, and see exactly what FITR can do for your coaching business. Here is how to make the most of it.

πŸš€ Your first three moves

Do these three things in your first session and you will understand more about FITR than most coaches pick up in a week.

1. Build your first program

Go to Programs and create one. Pick a program type, add a few sessions, and publish it. It does not have to be perfect - a rough version is enough to test with. If you are not sure which program type to pick, read Choose the right program type first.

2. Connect Stripe

Go to Settings β†’ Stripe and connect your account. This takes around five minutes and only needs to be done once. Without it, you cannot receive payments from clients. FITR creates a new Stripe account for you during setup - you do not need an existing one.

3. Experience it as a client

This is the single most useful thing you can do during your trial. Log out of your coach account, create a client account using an email alias (see below), and subscribe to your own program. See your storefront, your checkout, your program in the client app - exactly as your clients will.

πŸ‘€ How to test as a client

Coach and client accounts are completely separate on FITR and cannot share the same email address. Use a + alias to create a client account without needing a second email - everything still lands in your normal inbox.

  1. Log out of your coach account completely

  2. Go to app.fitr.training/onboarding/role and select Client

  3. Sign up with a + alias β€” if your email is [email protected], use [email protected]

  4. Subscribe to your own program and download the FITR Client App

You will see your program, your branding, your client experience end-to-end. It is the fastest way to spot anything you want to change before your first real client joins.

🎯 What to explore during your trial

Tracks - bundle multiple content streams (training, nutrition, habits) under one program subscription. One of FITR's most powerful features for coaches who want to deliver more without creating separate programs.

Zapier - connect FITR to Mailchimp, Google Sheets, Calendly, and 5,000+ other apps. Automate your onboarding, follow-ups, and client management without any coding.

Customisation - apply your brand colours and logo to the FITR client app. Your clients open the app and see your brand, not FITR's.

Financial dashboard β€”-live revenue, MRR, top clients by spend, and program performance. Everything you need to understand your business at a glance.

πŸ’° How pricing works

Your FITR subscription is based on your active client count - eight levels from Band 1 (up to 5 clients) to Band 8 Unlimited. Every paid level includes every FITR feature. The only thing that changes between levels is your client cap.

On top of your subscription, a Business Automation fee of 5.99% applies to revenue you process through FITR (you can take payment of your programs outside of FITR).

This covers your financial dashboard, tax automation, invoicing, failed payment handling, and the access control that removes non-paying clients automatically. See the Business Automation fee article for the full breakdown.

For the full level and pricing table, see FITR pricing: Overview.

πŸ“‹ What happens when your trial ends

At day 14, your account moves to a paid level or the Free Plan depending on your active client count. If you have 3 or fewer active clients, you move to the Free Plan automatically with no payment required. If you have more than 3, you will need to select a paid level to continue.

Nothing is deleted. Your programs, clients, and content all stay exactly as they are.

πŸ”§ Common questions

My + alias is not being accepted

Make sure the + is before the @ symbol: [email protected] is correct. If your email provider does not support aliases, use a separate email address instead.

Can I explore FITR's example programs?

Yes. Join them directly as a client: Functional Fitness, FITR Fast Track.

Do I need to set up Stripe before clients can join?

Only if your programs has a price. Free programs do not require Stripe. But if you want to charge clients at any point, connect Stripe first - it only takes a few minutes.
