Packages vs Tracks: Which Should I Use? (Coach)

Understand the difference between Tracks and Packages on FITR, and how to choose the right one for your coaching setup.

🎉 Packages launched on 9 June 2026. Everything in this article is available to use today. Head to the Packages tab in your sidebar to get started.

Tracks and Packages both let you offer multiple programs for one price, but they work at very different levels. This article helps you choose the right one for what you are trying to build.

With Packages, you are always in control of which programs are included. A Package is not your full library - it is a curated set of programs you have decided to sell together.

⚙️ What Tracks do

Tracks live inside a single program. They are variations of the same program that a client can switch between. Everything is one product, one purchase, one program - just with alternative versions built in.

Your client follows one track at a time and swaps when it suits them. The experience stays within a single context.

Example: You sell a program called FITR Pro. Inside it, clients can switch between an Everyday track (full gym), a Bodyweight track (no equipment), and a Time-Limited track (40 minutes). One subscription, one program, three options built in.

⚙️ What Packages do

You choose which of your programs go into a Package. A Package is not your full library - it is a curated set of programs you have decided to sell together under one subscription. The programs are distinct - different types, different content, different purposes and your client can run multiple at the same time by adding them to their training calendar.

Example 1: You create a HYROX Race Prep Package containing three separate programs: Strength, Engine (cardio), and Mobility. The client subscribes once and adds whichever programs they want to follow concurrently. Each program is independent.

Example 2: You have five programs on FITR and want to run a promotion on your three mobility-focused ones. You create a Mobility Bundle Package containing just those three. Your other programs are not affected and are not included unless you choose to add them.

📋 Which one should I use?

Use Tracks when you have one core program and want to offer modified versions of it - scaled options, equipment variations, time-limited alternatives. The client stays in one program and switches as needed.

Use Packages when you have multiple distinct programs you want to sell together, whether as a permanent bundle or a promotional offer. You decide exactly which programs are included. The client subscribes once and can run all of them at the same time.

You can also use both. A Package can contain programs that each have their own Tracks inside them.
